Lest We Forget: Launch of the Initiative

This small exhibition celebrates the launch of Lest We Forget, a grass-roots arts and heritage initiative that aims to document and explore twentieth century family photographs and oral histories pertaining to the UAE. The exhibition centres around the book manuscript, "Lest We Forget: Emirati Family Photographs 1950 - 1999,” the first compilation of vernacular Emirati photographs with associated memories and reflections.  The process behind the extensive, inter-generational collaboration among Emirati families is shared along with an invitation to become involved in the initiative.
