Sheikh Zayed: A Century of Memories, the exhibition and companion book, celebrate thecentennial of the birth of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (1918-2004), the Founder and first President of the United Arab Emirates. The exhibition displayed personal objects of remembrance shared by people whose lives were elevated by Sheikh Zayed. Precious objects and photographs associated with Sheikh Zayed filled the Founder’s Memorial during the final weeks of ‘The Year of Zayed.’ The companion book contains one hundred reproductions of these items along with associated memories.
